problem #1

Dec 192011

CX-9 ES 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 19,000 miles

My brakes started making noise at 12,000 miles. I took it to the dealer and they said nothing was wrong.

At 19,000 miles, my brakes felt "very spongy" and started locking up. The dealer replaced the master cylinder, boaster cylinder, the ABS system, and the brake pedal. After that I had to pay to have the front brake pads replaced -- they said that was normal wear.

At 26,000 mile the brakes started making the same noise so I took it back and they told me the back brake had to be changed. I did that, but the noise stayed and the dealer said there were no problems. I told them it was making a grinding sound.

Now at 26,700 miles I'm back at the dealer. My brakes are very spongy and not stopping the car.
