The engine light came on. Called dealer, Mazda of Turnersville, NJ they stated ok to drive as long as light is not blinking. I has never blinked. I had the car towed to the dealer, three days later I heard from them. (856-393-5808 or 856-875-0200), spoke on the phone and in person with the service manager. He offered no solution. I have called Mazda the toll free number twice.

Friday 4-23 spoke with a girl in customer service named Shenoa, explained the issue. We have been a customer of theirs for over 20 years (3) separate vehicles, had to replace the transmission on the Tribute, did not ask Mazda for help. My car has 107,000 miles now and I am getting costs on replacing it used and new. Still waiting to hear back from my mechanic. I spoke with the service manager on Friday, 4-23 he offered no help and was not a very nice guy.

Mazda has 100% service both my tribute and CX9 and can provide records if needed. This care was schedules for routine service today, 4-26. The internet provide me with the issues with this car. They put the water pump inside the engine. There would never be a warning with their design. I had no warning. The dealer told me on 4-22-2021 what had happened. Water pump failed and the water went into the engine . I asked the service manager about when they would let me know about this design defect and the water pump. He said they would not have let us know.

Bought this new, rarely used. It's well maintained, always parked in Garage, average miles are way less. All of sudden this issue came and it seems Mazda was aware of this issue before 2010. Ridiculous repair charge and they are not giving any consideration, this should have been addressed as a recall. When I spoke to customer experience service, they said they can't help as the warranty period is over. Also they are blaming it is because of Ford Engine. Hate this, and completely lost confidence with Mazda.
