CX-9 Touring

  • Automatic transmission
  • 55,000 miles

My 2020 CX9 has 55k miles on it and both rear wheel bearings have gone bad and each one cost $800 to fix. Repair shop said they're struggling to get parts because so many of these vehicles are having this issue. It's something Mazda needs to cover under a recall based on the number of impacted vehicles.

Update from Oct 15, 2024: I contacted Mazda and despite some bad information from the dealership, corporate said this would be covered under my CPO warranty and that they'll reimburse me for the cost. Unfortunately, they said the have a backlog of warranty claims and my refund will be delayed for several weeks or months.
