Power steering failed spontaneously while car was running and in gear. First occurance happened within 2-3 months of purchase, and resolved by turning car off and on again. Steering wheel warning light came on. Second occurance, at 6800 miles, resulted in an accident that cost almost $6,000 to repair!

I purchased this car on my birthday March 4, 2017. On March 11, 2017 I'm driving down the highway and all of a sudden my steering wheel locks and all the electrical components shut down and restart on their own. Needless to say, this scared the bejesus out of me especially since I was traveling at about 65 mph. Thinking I was merely low on power steering fluid, I had the fluids checked and they were at the level that they should be. I ask Google about recalls on this 2005 Mazda3 and low and behold there is not one recall but a Shitload of the exact same complaint as mine...Now where they do that at????? How the Heezy Mazda hasn't recalled this vehicle is beyond me. Does someone have to have a Fatality first? Really makes no sense to me why the Mazda Corp.isn't taking responsibility for this outrageous issue. I could see if 1 or maybe even 2 people had this issue, but it seems to be any and everyone that has this specific model. I see a LAWSUIT in MAZDAS future if they don't look into this matter.
