problem #2

MAZDA3

  • CVT transmission
  • 65,000 miles

Vehicle driven by girlfriend as a daily commuter, it seemed like the transmission was slipping, my dad is a mechanic so it was an easy task for him to find the issue with the vehicle, he gets cheap prices on auto parts so we end up paying like $60 obviously no labor charge, the material of the OEM part is crap! wont last long if you drive more than 50 miles daily. hope this helps some one out there.

rear motor mount failure

The stock mount is overly soft garbage. You can see from the pic that it is designed to fail fairly quickly. Gear grinds occur during upshifts, and get worse and more frequent as the failure progresses.

The dealer replaced it, and partially rebuilt the transmission (under warranty - just). 3 months later, the symptoms returned - the replacement mount was already failing. A much better-made aftermarket one finally solved this issue.
