At random times, more often within 2-3 hours of firing the car up for the first time, the Mazda seems to choke. I initially thought of it as a weak battery since I was still running on the first battery and it has been over five years now, had it replaced but the problem still exists. At times it chokes for a while and other times it needs a little tap on the gas for it to get going. I'm not sure what the problem might be but I did look it up online and a few other owners had similar incidents, but definitely not a pain in the ass. It goes up to -40 degrees in the winter over here but temperature hasn't seemed to be the catalyst of the cause here. I had the same issue trying to fire it up in the summer.
