in gear stationary car lurches suddenly like hit from rear
Been driving 56 years and never experienced this before in any car, stick or automatic. This has happened twice in the last 2 weeks. The first time I was at a stoplight and suddenly the car lurched forward like I had been hit from behind. I looked behind me and there was no car there. The second time (today Dec 23, 2016) I was stopped at a light and suddenly I could hear a turbine like sound increasing in volume and velocity ( about 4 seconds) then it lurched forward just like I had been hit from behind HARD! AGAIN NO ONE was close. I drove home each time with no further incident. This has me concerned and I will be bringing the car in to be looked at. It is very similar to what happened to #5 Complaint. I hope this is an easy fix as I really am impressed with my Mazda 3 Hatchback. Would like to know if more people have experienced this problem. I have a Lexus and a Toyota Tundra and this is the first problem I've had in over 25 years. I service all my vehicles religiously, but this is over my head. Service Notice? Nakemdead

The cost was so prohibitive! I believe that I should have been informed that these transmissions were defective by the manufacturer and should be reimbursed for at least a portion of the repair.
