The Mazda 3 has electric steering and as such the road conditions, that is the effect of the road topography of the wheels and steering, does not provide adequate feedback to the driver. Driving is like playing a video game. No feedback to the steering wheel. The driver is unaware of ruts or depressions in the roads surface which can influence the car's trajectory. So the car drifts due to road conditions but the driver is oblivious except for ONLY visual cues. The steering lacks the feel of hydraulic power steering feedback. Some other car makers have feedback but my Mazda 3 feels dead.
