Left driver seat became unhinged while in motion. It lunges back and does not set in place. No impacts from accidents. The switch to lower/raise the seat works perfectly. The seat rocks back and forth.

MAZDA6 4-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 18,300 miles
: the contact stated while stopped at a stop light; a vehicle traveling 30 mph rear ended the contact. During the accident, the driver and passenger side seats moved forward causing injuries to the driver and passenger. The dealership determined the pins which enable the driver and passenger seats to be adjusted and moved sheared off, causing the seats to come unlocked and move forward during the accident. The passenger side seat was pushed all the way back prior to the accident, but during the accident, the seat moved forward. Seat belts were in use at the time of the accident and did work properly. There were no problems with the seats staying locked in position prior to the accident. A police report was taken.
