The contact owns a 2005 Mazda Mazda6. The contact stated that while attempting to rebuild the suspension with after market parts for the lower control arms, the contact noticed that the retaining nuts included were the incorrect types for the control arm. The contact mentioned that if the incorrect parts were to be installed it would cause a catastrophic failure. The manufacturer of the part was not made aware of the failure. My car was making a clicking sound and I could fell it in the steering wheel when I was turning. I took it to a mechanic thinking it was a ball joint. He said I needed to replace the control arm it was rusted and ready to fall apart. So I did and it was expensive. The other side wasn't in bad shape at that time but was starting to deteriorate. Well now that one side is stronger than the other it has deteriorated fast and also needs to be replaced asap. I just wanted to complain because I saw the recall for the tribute and I seem to have the same problem as well.

I have Mazda6 S model 2005 with 30,000 miles I have noticed when ever their is a dip on road my rear tire on the passenger side makes a scraping noise. I have noticed it when I have people sitting at the back the noise is more apparent since there is more load. I had taken it to a Mazda dealership they told me it was the tire and but the tire is the correct size 205/50R17 so why is this occuring.
