The contact owns a 2006 Mazda 6. the contact stated that the rear hatch would not stay closed while the vehicle was in use. The rear hatch fell down on several occasions without the contact's knowledge. The vehicle was experiencing the same failure listed in NHTSA campaign number: 16V644000 (structure). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 45,000.
