Hello i am a 2nd owner of a Mazda 2007 6. And the man i brought car from said it always did it to him as well.i would explain it as in stopping or speeding up the dashboard lights flicker or goes off, the engine gets real loud and car jerks and shakes and loses power check engine light comes on and AT.and Cars dyes in reverse a few times on me. Auto lots said that it is common and known for electrical problems and engine issues and pieces called camshafts position actuator and transmission range sensor and gears. And the man owned before me has replaced them multiple times. Its dangerous to be driving specially on interstate and car stalls or lose so much power that i only get about 20 miles an hour

The low beam headlights on the vehicle are known to go out because of a 'harness issue' after research numerous other Mazda owners are having the same isssue. This is whole stationary, in motion, city, highway, doesn't matter. A quick remedy is hitting the light and it'll turn back on. I received a ticket on a military base because of this.

Following two days of heavy rain, turn signal remained lit even with ignition turned off. Turn signals will not blink and emergency flasher will not work. Interior lights out and automatic door locks not working. Had to pull turn signal fuse to turn off the light and avoid draining the battery. Found information regarding other owners having problem with defect of hood release area causing water to leak inside vehicle, damaging body control module and causing these electrical problems.

I have an 07 Mazda6 that I recently had to replace the 2 battery cables going from the positive terminal to the alternator and the fuse box located next to the battery (it's one cable but it splits in two if you trace it). Several months before I replaced it, I noticed quite a bit of corrosion on the battery terminal. I would clean it off w water & baking powder, but it would come back. Then my car started having trouble starting. I took the batt out and cleaned the terminal, but when I took the cable bracket off of the term it disintegrated from massive corrosion. I eventually traced the corrosion several inches back on the cable while removing the protective rubber hosing. Took it to the dealer who informed me they'd have to order a new wiring harness and replace all the cables in that bundle (there are other various wires that are all "bundled" together) at a cost of well over $1000. Took it to a mechanic who separated the cables from the bundle, removed and replaced w better quality cables. On online forums I've noticed other owners who have the same problem. Looks like Mazda used substandard cable for the positive side. Also, had to replace the battery due to it constantly being drained and not recharged sufficiently. Corrosion was a distinct blue/greenish color. Mazda should address this and replace these. They don't even need to replace the entire wiring harness as the dealer stated!

I have a 2007 Mazda6. Driving through rain storm on I-4 driving slowly for only five minutes. Next day remote, electric doors, blinkers, inside light would not work. Took to dealer who states junction box got water in it and need to be replaced. Don't understand how driving on interstate cause water to get in junction box if it was protected by manufacture. It rains in Florida. How can you travel on interstate and electrical components not be protected by manufacture on new car. Never had this problem with any other vehicles.

My new Mazda 6 has an automatic window close on the driver's and passenger side that is supposed to reverse automatically if there is an obstruction, e.g.fingers, but often it just closes with an object in the way.
