I had been having vibration issues on/off for the 4 yrs. that I have owned this vehicle. I have bought numerous new sets of tires, a few rims, and numerous balancing during those years, and just when I felt we finally now have a proper set of tires/rims, guess what? There's still a minor vibration but only noticeable at highway speeds especially over 100 km/hr, and it cuts in and out - it's not constant
So, at this point I'm thinking there obviously must be something mechanically wrong and eventually is this is going to become more persistent so I can successfully take it in to get diagnose.
Well surprise, surprise! I just happened to take the vehicle in for a tire swap and as they were doing their usual inspection they noticed the control arms are showing multiple cracks which they said would eventually lead to vibration.
I take great pride and care of my vehicles in terms of how I drive. I'm not passive but I'm very alert (avoiding pot holes, coasting before braking, keeping a safe distance) and therefore I know my driving etiquette had nothing to do with premature wear and tear.
So, now here I am almost a thousand bucks later at only 118k replacing major components to the suspension. Parts are obviously flawed/poor quality.
