problem #2

MAZDA6 Touring 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 20,000 miles

I did not expect the brakes rotors to warp and cause vibration whenever I used the brakes. This is unusual coming from a Japanese manufacturer. I suggest Mazda to use better quality bakes pads and rotors.

problem #1

May 192016

MAZDA6 G 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 850 miles

After having the car for 2 weeks my husband drove the car and confirmed my complaints of "pulsating" brakes. Said he believed it was warped rotors. I had noticed the feeling during the test drive and mentioned that the brakes did not feel right. My husband did not test drive but test road in back seat. When we called and made appt to get it checked I specifically told the service guy that we did NOT want them smoothed down but replaced since we only had 850 miles on the car. Took it the next morning and specifically told the lady that we want new rotors if that is what the problem was and for her to call me and tell me what they find. She called about 3 hours later and said the car was ready and that Mazda had approved to have them (both front rotors were warped) smoothed. When asked why they did not replace them like we said she said that was what Mazda approved based on the measurements the service guy had given them. We filed a complaint and they changed their mind and are replacing both rotors along with the transmission (see previous complaint). Definitely a lemon. Praying for a good result from Mazda. Remains to be seen.
