My display infotainment system is acting weird and when I am driving all of a sudden it auto touches and changing brightness, increasing volume, changing tracks when playing music. It's very distracting and pose a serious safety risk. When I looked on the internet, there are a lot of people who also posting about the same issue. Please consider this as priority and fix it.

The infotainment system randomly changes the screen very rapidly, "ghosting". The screen didn't and brightens very rapidly while driving, going from night to day modes or vice versa even though I set it on auto mode. The worst is that it randomly makes calls to people in my contact list. This can very easily cause a crash.

My infotainment center experiences a ghost touch, typically in hot weather, where it just randomly starts pressing buttons on the touch screen, increases volume, hits play/pause over and over again. It is VERY distracting when it occurs while I-??m driving

Touch screen has ghosting effects, and automatically starts disabling safety and alert systems, calling random people, playing music, muting calls, navigating to random places, etc. without any input from the user. Mazda has an existing service bulletin for this issue that includes the Mazda 6 (Mazda SA-001/23) but the dealer says it-??s not covered by any recall and that I need to pay nearly $3,000 to get it fixed.

Touch screen on vehicle making random selections on its own, causing potentially dangerous distractions to myself while driving. There are also dead spots on screen where touch does not work. Reads error code "B108E04 Display-System Internal Failure"

2017 Mazda6 Infotainment System also found in Mazda CX-5. Known as "Ghost Touch, " it is a known issue acknowledged by the company and dealerships. Available for inspection upon request. The Infotainment system controls navigation, ADAS heads up navigation, illumination of instruments and other driver instrumentation and safety warning systems. Above a set speed the screen is NOT a touch screen. When the car slows below a preset speed or is stopped, the display screen becomes a touch screen. The screen will then randomly and intermittently begin to reset itself, changing between and altering settings. This was repaired by Mazda on pre-2016 models, but Mazda declined on 2017-2020 models. This has the potential of causing accidents by making instrumentation unreadable, random dialing bluetooth phone connections, etc. As stated search for "Ghost touch Mazda" and you will find many references and complaints. The problem is ongoing since 2021. The component has apparently been upgraded but will cost 700+ to repair.

Display screen has developed the common -??spider web cracking-?? with my 2017 Mazda 6. There has been no accident on my vehicle and it is causing issues with being able to clearly see what is showing. My driver seat -??heated seat-?? has melted the lower back leather material. The heating element doesn-??t heat the bottom of the seat and just the lower back part. It has caused the leather to melt

The vehicles infotainment system has what is called ghost touches. Which is very distracting while driving the vehicle. This is a common issue Mazda does not seem to have a recall for. The infotainment system behave erratically, and won't allow the user to change settings in the vehicle.

Passenger door not closing completely, upon inspection I noticed a latch on the door is simply not locking into place all of a sudden. There was no warning prior the problem occurred all of a sudden not sure how or why.

Hello! My Mazda 6 main screen rebooting every 2-3 minutes. Sometimes I cannot get into the menu to make changes. Radio is continue working at this time, but navigation is off and I have to put information from the beginning. The main issue is when the screen is restarting while I'm backing up. The back up camera is turning off and it's create a safety issue and can be potentially dangerous for pedestrians and myself!

Similar to the recall on the 2016-2016 Mazda6, the 2017 Mazda 6 has a touch screen issue (ghost touch). Mazda MUST issue a SSP for this vehicle. It is unacceptable that Mazda is aware of this issue and has chosen not to issue a SSP. My vehicle touch screen is unusable because of the ghost screen issue and there is no way for the consumer to disable the touch screen.

My Mazda 6 control screen, that displays and is used to control entertainment, car settings (lights, brakes, warnings, etc.), GPS, and various safety and control applications failed and was unusable. My car, like so many reported on social media, was just out of warranty. I was forced to pay $1,254 to replace this CMU at my dealership. This defective unit, and it's associated computer, is a known failure by Mazda. In fact, it is so known that a recall and an extended warranty period for subject owners was made for the Mazda 3 line of cars. This defect is also very, very well known and reported by many Mazda 6 owners with no coverage against the defect by Mazda and no recall or extended warranty period. Mazda 3 owners were treated fairly; Mazda 6 owners that suffer from the same defective units are not. It is a very, very expensive and very, very common defect acknowleged by Mazda Corporation that we should not have to pay to repair.

While driving my 2017 Mazda 6 today, the sunroof exploded. There was nothing that struck the sunroof, I had not traveled under an overpass and there wasn't a dramatic temperature change. I have been reading of the increased number of incidents of sunroofs exploding for no reason. My Mazda dealership denies there being any "issues"; however, consumer reports and other publications.

I was driving in an urban area, on a city street, and the car ahead of me was making a right turn. As my vehicle was slowing, I covered the brake pedal in anticipation of the possibility of the need to brake. The car in front of me was just about clear and there was still plenty of distance between us. At that time, the smart city brake support engaged and brought my car to a violent stop. I felt immediate pain in 2 locations of my back, due to the jolt. There was not an impending accident. It wasn't even close.

Back-up camera froze providing a false picture on cabin screen, which caused a collision. Car was in reverse backing up. Cabin picture showed object outside of warning range. See attached picture. If a child was behind the car they would have been hit.

I was driving straight at ~40mph on a paved road at about 830pm, no other cars in front of my, when I heard a noise like a cannon going off. I looked up, and my sun roof had completely shattered: There were large chunks of glass inside the car, and extensive scratch marks on the rear trunk cover. Upon pulling over and inspecting the damage, it appeared that the sun roof glass had exploded outwards (as shown in the provided pictures), with several parts of the remaining glass being distinctly angled upwards and very little actual shattered glass being inside the vehicle. I have contacted the dealership where I purchased this car, and despite the fact that it is just over a month and a half old with a 3 year bumper to bumper and a 10 year service package, I have already been told that it was "more than likely a rock hitting it", that "they've never had any reports of this happening", and have been advised to just contact my insurance and have them pay. This language and response is in lock-step with several online forums that I have viewed regarding this issue, which appears to be quite widespread. Many of them reported that the immediate response from the dealerships in question was to blame external factors, very commonly rocks. In my case, given that I was driving alone on a well-paved road and the sun roof was closed at the time, I find it incredibly hard to believe that a rock somehow hit it at the exact angle necessary to cause the entire thing to simply fall apart. If this is the case, well, I wouldn't feel safe having a car with a sun roof at all.
