- Call Mazda at 1-800-222-5500 & complain, needs front wheel camber adjustment option (2 reports)
Many, many speed6 owners are having uneven and therefore premature front tire wear. The tires wear on the outside only (cupping), during normal highway and city driving.
Typically at 5000 miles on the tires, the fronts will be at ZERO tread on the outside tread blocks, the inside-most treadblock will be at 50-75%.
More negative camber for the front wheels would alleviate the problem, however the front camber is NON-adjustable.
At this point Mazda is not willing to research the problem. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, which was no help because of some loopholes.
Best advice is to call Mazda and complain about uneven and premature front tire wear 1-800-222-5500 ext 5 for mazdaspeed.

I have complained about this problem for the first 2 sets of tires. I am now on my third set and both front tires have/are wearing excessively on the right edges. I just got off the phone with Mazda - 800-222-5500 to initiate a complaint and hopefully get some resolution. Today is 9/26/11. My independent mechanic who I fully trust says that the problem is with the camber for the alignment. The dealer has said that the camber can not be adjusted for this vehicle. My independ. mech. verified that this is true. However, my ind. mech. has suggested that there should be an aftermarket part (or even Mazda's speed division) out there (a plate) that can be added which would allow for a camber adjustment to fix the problem. I have only found 1 other complaint (on this site) on the internet for the same problem. I am hoping there are others out there who have suggestions and/or successful resolutions for this problem.
