I had gone on a road trip and had returned home. When coming home, the drivers side, window wouldn't go up. Made a noise when trying the put the window up. Same situation as poster below. Had to pay out of my own pocket. Post your comments and share your story.

problem #1

Feb 012008

MPV 3.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 74,000 miles

Driver side power window started moving slowly. Totally quit within a couple of days. Mazda Dealer diagnosed a short circuit in the window motor. replaced window motor for around $470. ouch. One year warranty. So far, it continues to work. I see from other sites on the internet that this problem is not uncommon. I wonder, if it happens again, could I just swap out one of the side door motors for the front door motor by myself and save a bundle of money?
