Convertible top is developing holes from rubbing on the frame when in the down position. Researched it found several instances of this including a long term test by an automotive magazine with pictures showing the damage in the same exact location as mine. The fix in these situations was for Mazda to replace the frame with a newer design that doesn’t rub and a new cloth top. For some reason Mazda will not replace the frame on mine and only wants to replace the cloth top. This will obviously not fix the problem. It’s a shame because otherwise I do really like the car, but since they refuse to do the right thing, I will be trading it in for another make before this top is ruined.
