Dealer stated that MB is aware of the issue, but until a software patch is developed, it can happen again at any time. This leaves me with a car I'm afraid of taking anywhere but in particular on a long drive. Fortunately I had towing coverage, had car towed to dealer, and took Uber home. It took them over a week to figure out how to reset it so that it at least is operational.
They also stated that they do not know a way for a driver to reset the car if it happens again, Just an awful position to be in.
This is the last MB car I'll ever buy, will trade it in for something else, looking around now.
