Purchased vehicle pre-owned from well known Acura dealership in Bay Area. Upon driving car after purchase, vehicle had noticeable rough idle 80% of the time. Also, when attempting to accelerate while entering freeway, vehicle revved/sounded like it was speeding up, but vehicle felt like it wasn't moving at the rate it sounded like. Brought vehicle in for inspection; Acura service was unable to locate problem. Service contracted with neighboring Mercedes-Benz dealer to inspect issue. Found the issue to be a failed throttle positioning sensor. Mercedes-Benz service replaced unit and returned to Acura service. Issue resolved.
