Takata recall - when purchasing this vehicle, I was informed by the carmax dealship that there were open recalls on the vehicle. They briefly explained that one of the recalls was a defective part, involving the airbag, could cause serious injury or death. This was a huge concern to me, as I was purchasing a Mercedes-Benz because it was an extremely safe car. I expressed my concern immediately to the dealership, who told me not to worry and that I could take the car directly the an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership to have parts replaced and that the issue would be resolved. After signing the papers to purchase the vehicle, I contacted several authorized dealerships with attempts to have the recall remedied. Unfortunately, I had no luck in doing so, as each of the dealerships informed me that there was no remedy at this time. I continued to call each month to attempt to have the parts replaced without any luck. Knowing that there was defective parts in my car and that it could case serious death or injury to someone really upset me. I use my car for work and at times, I am responsible for transporting clients. Due to this open recall, my car has been deemed unsuitable by the company I work for and now I have lost a great deal of money, specifically due to this recall. I am extremely frustrated that I have been given the wrong information and in addition to that, I am forced to drive an unsafe car, knowing that there is defective parts. My job has refused to allow me to work until the recall has been resolved and an authorized dealer has reported to NHTSA that it has been fixed.

Got a defective air bag recall from Mercedes Benz for my car. When I called the dealership ( rmb of atlanta, sandy springs, ga ) to get it fixed in my area they said that they do not have the part to fix it. I will have to wait till Jan, 2020 for the air bag to be fixed. This is unacceptable from a safety & customer viewpoint. Why has Mercedes issued this replacement notice when their dealers cannot fix it.

Takata recall it has been two years and the passenger-side airbag is still not available for my car. I have contacted my dealer several times about when this part would be available. Was told it would be available by December, 2018. Still not available and I am afraid to drive it often for fear that it will rupture. At 74 years of age I thought I was buying a safe dependable car.

Takata recall we were notified of this recall over two years ago. There has been no movement on a repair. This is absurd, we have actually been notified that our two Mercedes vehicles that are affected by this recall, have been dropped in priority for a repair.

We have been waiting for 2(TW0) years since receiving a letter that our passenger seat airbag needed replacement and now we are hearing that it will be another year before the fix will be available. This is moving too slow and it is a safety issue. No one has ridding in that seat for 2W0 years. My wife is tired of riding in the back seat!!
