I have a NHTSA recall (18V043) - manuf. Recall # 2018030004 on my 2013 Mercedes C250. My complaint is that the recall was announced over two years ago (on Jan. 10, 2018), and my car still says "recall incomplete, remedy not yet available." My complaint is that the manufacturer (Mercedes-Benz) has not offered a timely remedy. My concern is, first, safety, but as important -- I am not able to sell this car with an open recall. Buyers all have only offered a "diminished value" offer because of the open recall with "remedy not yet available." These dealers should be legally required to address these issues in a timely manner. I've called two dealerships in the houston area (greenway and clear lake), and they won't even give me a timeframe for the repairs. In the meantime, I can't sell this car until it happens. I am very frustrated by Mercedes-Benz's poor response time in dealing with this (both in notifying me of the original recall, and in making a plan for doing the repairs in a timely manner.)

Mercedes Benz has recalled my vehicle, however, refusing to repair it as they claim there is no fix yet available to the passenger's side front airbag. Can you assist in getting Mercedes to take action in getting this vehicle repaired? I ahve been patiently waiting for more than one year to get this issue resolved.

I have been having constant issues with the steering and airbag lights going on. I was also in a bad rear end wreck in 2016 and the airbags did not deploy. I have been calling santander consumers about the issue and they don't care and are still making me pay my more. The Mercedes dealer has said that the recalls are pending and they do not have the parts to fix the issue. So I have stopped making payments because I have a toddler and will not drive a dangerous car and the car was recently repossessed last week. The airbag deploy lights constantly stay on indicating they are not working and the steering keeps locking up. It happens when the car is parked and in motion.

Hello, my C250, 2013 Mercedes Benz is the subject of manufacturer recall number: 2018030004, and NHTSA recall number: 18V043. This is in regards to the takata air bag defect. My Mercedes Benz dealership sent me over ten (10) recall notices in the mail and via emails. Every time I called the dealerships to schedule a service appointment to replace the airbag, they would tell me that they don't have the parts, and that I should call back in few weeks. This has been going on for months now, and despite several recall notices being received. Mercedes Benz dealership has failed to fix the defective airbag despite the fact that if the airbag deploys, a passenger-side airbag inflator explosion during deployment could result in metal fragments striking the front passenger or other occupants, possibly causing serious injury or death. Below is the name and address of my Mercedes Benz dealership: Mercedes-Benz of South bay 3311 pacific coast highway torrance, ca 90505 (855) 302-0511 you attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you! regards, [xxx] P.S. for the date field below of "when did this happen?", I entered the date of the last recall notice email I received from Mercedes Benz dealership. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
