Takata recall -- I have called the Mercedes dealership's service dept several times, and get the same answer that they have no information regarding this recall. I would expect that by this time, they should at least have some general idea of when this recall could be handled.

I am writing because Mercedes has failed to provide a remedy for a recall notice dated October 16, 2017, over 1-1/4 years ago. I have contacted my dealer several times and they have no information on any solution for this recall. It would appear based on this performance that Mercedes may have no intention of providing a solution to this recall which, according to the notice, is potentially life threatening. I ask that the NHTSA take action to force Mercedes to provide a solution to fix the problem on an expedited basis given how they have not done so for over 15 months. The recall information is: Oct 16,2017 manufacturer recall number2017120024 NHTSA recall number17V627 recall status: Recall incomplete safety risk: An inadvertent driver airbag deployment may cause a risk of injury to the driver and might increase the risk of a potential crash. Remedy: As a precautionary measure an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer, will add sufficient grounding to the steering components on the affected vehicles. Thank you

Hello, my insurance company has notified me that they will be removing my vehicle from my policy as it cannot be registered in Canada due to this outstanding recall. I was notified of this recall about 1 year ago and parts are still not available. This is unacceptable. How long are people supposed to wait to have a necessary recall foxed? not to mention unsafe! I have not been able to drive my car for 8 months due to this recall. This is very disheartening and unreliable of Mercedes Benz. I have contacted he company many times and they never have an answer of when it is ready and keep changing the date

Takata recall I bought my 2013 Mercedes C250 used in 2016 in rochester NY. The car was originally sold as a new car in Florida and was there for it's first three years. This puts me at a higher risk level for a dangerous air bag. I believe your system only tracks current location and does not take into account the cars history. I am in a zone C but the car has significant time in zone a. I am requesting that I be given priority for the replacement air bag. My car should have been serviced with the rest of the zone a cars in 2017. It is now early 2019 with no resolution in sight. My local md dealer has given me no satisfaction on this issue and appears helpless to make things right.

Takata recall safety risk: Your passenger-side airbag is affected by this recall based on the defect decision of tk holdings, Inc. (takata). Under certain circumstances during a crash that necessitates frontal airbag deployment, the defect in your passenger-side airbag inflator may cause the airbag to explode during deployment and could result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants, possibly causing serious injury or death. Unitl today's date there is no remedy for this airbag problem of my vehicle from mercedez Benz and would like to get a replacement of the car bought back.
