Takata recall I received a safety recall notice back in April 2016 because the airbags were not properly deploying. I called md today, Sept. 6, 2017, because I have not heard from them and I was told that the parts are still not ready. I live in a state that is hot and humid, which exponentially increases the chances of airbag malfunctioning.

Takata recall - it's been over a year since I received the written notice of recall, and there is not yet a remedy. I am very concerned about our safety in the event of a collision or impact causing the airbags to deploy. It's very unreasonable to have to wait this long for a remedy, especially when this defect can cause serious bodily harm or death.

Takata recall: I am making this contact to request an updated plan for airbag replacement and an explanation for why the plan that was presented in 2016 was not acted upon. As I recall, the plan scheduled for priority #1 replacements to occur by the end of 2016. However, there has been no action on my or apparently other vehicles in this class, and there has been no information provided about an updated schedule. The auto manufacturer did not provide any further information in response to my call to their customer service number.

Takata airbags drivers side and passenger side have been on recall since before February 2016. The car lives in houston, Texas, one of the most humid climates in the country. Nothing has been done. On the contrary, based on several discussions and calls to two local dealerships, I feel like nothing will ever be done. My wife and I are afraid to drive the car with defective airbags and have had them disconnected.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 16V081000 (air bags) and 16V363000 (air bags). The contact stated that the part was not available within a reasonable time frame to schedule the recall repair. The dealer (dick dyer Mercedes-Benz and Volvo, 5825 two notch rd, columbia, SC 29223, (803) 786-8888) did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. The contact was unable to determine when the vehicle would be repaired. In addition, the key would not turn over intermittently and prevented the vehicle from starting. The dealer replaced the ignition switch, which did not prevent the failure. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the starter needed to be replaced. The contact was uncertain if the dealer and the manufacturer would be able to provide a solution or if the oem part would fail again, if replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the concerns with the two air bag recalls. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Takata recall - Mercedes Benz has failed to correct this problem for over a year now. Attached are letters from them and further discussion with their exec dept, they have no clue when they will repair this safety issue. How long can they just keep delaying this safety repair and how many more people will die due to their nonchalant attention to this major safety problem. No car is safe to drive with these defective airbags.

Takata recall - I called my local Mercedes Benz service manager to ask about the recall on the airbags. He stated "I don't know when parts would be available". the safety of my wife and children in the Mercedes is my top priority. How can I feel safe driving a car that is known to have defective parts, that might maim or even take the life of one of my loved ones. Shame on Mercedes Benz for not making this a higher priority.
