I purchased the car with 27k mikes and certified preowned with an extended warranty. The car has only had 5k miles put on it in each of the five years I have owned it. It has been garaged kept until I just moved to St. Louis. It was outside when the temperature dropped to 32 on October 5th and the next day the clear coat caused the white bubbles in between the paint and clear coat. I took the car in yesterday and was advised it was clear coat failure and the entire car would have to be repainted.

I have had estimates from 4k to well over 9k! This is ridiculous that Mercedes sold vehicles, knowing the Mars 590 paint color had clear coat failures! Now I can't sell the car, I'm in the hole due to having to repaint the car and I'll never recoup my losses! Shame on you Mercedes! I'll never purchase another Mercedes knowing this information! They need to step up and fix the cars!
