The driver's side rear wheel is completely rusted/broken, it the subframe leading to the wheel. I am extremely disappointed in the workmanship of the vehicle. The car was purchased by me in 2012 new, has been garaged and had 66K miles. Rusting is not something that should happen to a vehicle that sits in a garage most of the time with such low mileage. This basically speaks to the quality of the product, because prior to this purchase I owned a BMW 10 years old with 90k miles no rusting. I typically keep my cars for 10-11 years, and I'm on the verge of purchasing another MB in 2022 - however this has caused a re-evaluation of what brand vehicle to buy. MB doesn't stand by their products.
I called the dealership I purchased it from and they told me it had no recalls, I would need to bring it in to look at so they could give me estimate cost to repair, and of course I also would need to pay for them to evaluate (apparently as a woman I can't see that it's broken/rusted and making noise when I turn or brake). Called MD headquarters. They were also no help - told me to bring to the dealership. End of the day I have to bring it to them pay for them to look at the broken/rust back wheel and then pay to fix.

Loyal MB owner, with dealer service. They indicated some rust on sub frame and let my wife drive out with the rear strut bar broken off.
100% recall should have been done already. As I understand they are already recalled in Europe and Canada.
This is a 5K repair. Both of my MB cars are for sale.
