I was driving at 25-30 KMPH in rush hour traffic on a Toronto Hiway. I applied the brake since the vehicle ahead was slowing down but my brake did not work. My MB neither slowed down nor stopped. This resulted in a crash when the vehicle ahead stopped in traffic. My vehicle was declared a 'total loss' by my insurance company. Interestingly the airbags did not deploy.

This vehicle was under extended warranty and was serviced about less than 2 weeks ago by Mercedes Dealership.

This matter was reported to MB Canada immediately who conducted their inspection and took over 2 months to tell me about their findings. They just said according to their experts there was no problem with the brake at the time of this accident. They refused to share the details of their investigation report or any data which I requested for conducting a verification by an independent expert. Apparently they have something to hide!

The outcome of this accident could have been fatal if the traffic was moving at normal speed of 80 - 90 KMPH. Mercedes Canada refuses to take any accountability and just brushed off their responsibility. Not at all expected from a well known company that preaches excellence in customer service.
