The contact owns a 2014 Mercedes-Benz C300. While the vehicle was stationary, the driver's door latch malfunctioned and the contact could not exit the vehicle. The contact rolled down the driver's window and used the exterior door handle to exit the vehicle. Mercedes-Benz of marion (2604 West deyoung street, marion, Illinois 62959, (618) 997-1313) was made aware of the failure and stated that the driver's door needed replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was approximately 51,500.
