The contact stated that the seat belt latch plate failed to latch securely into the buckle of the seat belt while the contact was attempting to exit the vehicle. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V032000 (Seat Belts). The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the latch needed to be replaced. The seat belt was repaired but failed to operate as needed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 22,000.
