The contact owns a 2008 Mercedes-Benz C350. The contact stated that the vehicle emitted an abnormal fuel odor. Months after the odor was noticed, the vehicle became inoperable. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that fuel entered into the carbon filter and the entire fuel tank needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000. The VIN was not provided.

I parked the car, few hours later, I try to put it on, no starting occurred, no external light, the battery was dead. I bought a new battery but it did not function.I consulted with several mechanics and one them talled me that place where I put the key that is called the panel switch was damage and suggested me to call Mercedes Benz dealer because it happens that there was recalls that several cars had the same problems for cars from 2008 -2014.this problem affected the original battery that I had.
