The contact owns a 2006 Mercedes Benz E350. While driving approximately 30 mph, fumes seeped into the vehicle. A fuel leak was present inside the vehicle on the left side of the rear passenger seat. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing and the fuel pump was replaced. The contact suffered nausea and vomiting and required medical attention due to the fumes. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.
