There was a sound and a clunk which was diagnosed as an all-wheel drive transfer case problem that needed fixing. Went to my foreign car mechanic and he recommended replacing the transfer case at 80,000 miles and the cost was $8,000. Problem solved, car now has 88,000 miles on it.
