E350

  • Automatic transmission
  • 62,190 miles

This is the 3rd E350 in our fleet of initially 5 Mercedes Benz. The first E350 2005's engine light come up @ 175,00 km as it was my partner's daily drive. Too expensive to fix so we sold it. Bought another one - E350 2007 from a Mercedes Benz dealer in Sydney with only 38,000 km and it was not only the engine that is the problem but including the transmission @ 42,000 km which cost's A$3500. My daily drive is also an E350 2007 elegance which I have had since 28,000 km..again, transmission issue materialized at 42,000 km.. thankfully under warranty BUT now the engine light comes up at 100,085 km..

My patience is at an end..! Mercedes Benz always serviced this car and it was just serviced 4 months ago..why was it not proactively check for this type of fault..? They are German engineered but where is the customer service? Are they just too big now and selling cars like a hot cake that they do not care..? Watch out MB..remember the 90's..? Customers do remember..!

E350 4 Matic 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 102,000 miles

The engine sounds like a diesel engine at startup and at idle. It is a shame of the century that Mercedes-Benz, a brand we all respect in the past turned his technology this way and refused to accept his failure. They need to apologize for we all come short sometimes in this life. It is a crime! Shame on you Mercedes-Benz/ Daimler!
