E350

  • 55,000 miles
The contact owns a 2015 Mercedes-Benz E350. While driving approximately 42 mph, the blind stop detection monitoring system and other unknown warning indicators malfunctioned. In addition, the steering wheel was difficult to turn to the right. Also, while the brake pedal was depressed, the brakes failed to operate and caused the contact's vehicle to crash into another vehicle and a ditch. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was towed to a towing lot. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 55,000.

The vehicle has been in the dealer six times in a four month period of time. Most problems were related to electronics. Head unit center console made a loud "a ball rolling around" noise with 24 hours of buying the car. Radio would intermittently work. Clock would not keep time. These three items have been replaced. Steering wheel would not keep memory. Engine cooling fan would run for hours after vehicle was turned off and parked. There was an oil leak on front passenger side. Front trim panel for bumper was not aligned.
