After only 7 years of owning the 2010 mb glk 350, both the engine mounts and transmission mounts needed to be replaced at an estimated cost of $3000 at the dealership. The car has less than 50,000 miles on it, mostly city driving. This can present a safety hazard if you are driving your vehicle in high speeds; the engine may shift and bounce about so violently that various parts will fly off. Condition mostly seen in high mileage cars.

This is a 5 year old vehicle with 57000 miles and the transmission needs replaced. I have researched online and have found numerous people reporting same problem with same vehicle at around same mileage. Makes me think there is some fundamental problem with the vehicle that mb has failed to acknowledge and fix. The repair will cost over $6000 which is around the same cost others have reported online. It just seems too coincidental to me that so many people have had same problem with this vehicle with the symptoms being the same at around the same mileage. Might be something to look into and hold mb accountable for. Isn't this the kind of thing that drives recalls?
