The tires on Mercedes vehicles are unsafe. The are very fragile and are very quick to blow out or deflate. In less than 2yrs, we have replaced 5 tires. There have been 343 complaints to the office of Consumer Affairs about the Continental tires on Mercedes vehicles. In addition, there are dozens of web sites and forums complaining about this issue, including: www.worldlawdirect.com/forum/class-actions-defective-products/7442-Mercedes-Benz-tires-dont-support-vehicle.html www.mbca.org/forum/bad-Continental-tires mbworld.org/forums/C-class-W204/428474-bubbles-Continental-tires.html www.benzworld.org/forums/W211-E55-amg-E63-amg/1173312-Continental-tire-problems.html answers.edmunds.com/question-2009-Mercedes-sl-550-tire-rim-problems-109191.aspx the high rates of blowouts and flats increase the risk of an accident. Mercedes needs to do a recall on these tires and replace them with stronger tires.
