We bought a 2008 Mercedes 320 CDI new in 2008. We had early electrical problems with the car which were fixed by the dealership.
We started having problems with the car a few months ago. It goes into limp home mode and slows down and has intermittent power. The dealership says that we need to replace the engine and possibly the transmission. They offered me $ 1200 for the car on a trade in. The car only has 66,000 miles.
We have found out through and another mechanic and our research that this year of Mercedes is a "lemon" and should have been recalled. I have contacted Mercedes USA and they deny the problem and are no help at all.
Has anyone else had this problem or have any suggestions of what to do. We now have a worthless Mercedes with 66,000 miles.
