The ML was due for service. I knew it needed front brakes, too. Asked the service rep to call with pricing and he said they also discovered that the left rear spring was bad and needed to be replaced. This little "truck" only has about 44,000 miles on it, never been off road or wrecked. In 2012, it developed a creaking sound when backing out of the garage and that was, supposedly, the right spring. That cost a bundle to replace. However, seems like a car (even one that is 10 years old) that only has 44,000 miles on it and has never been abused should not have problems with springs. I'm just trying to determine if anyone else has this type of problem. BTW, I checked my car on CarFax using the VIN and it seems odd that the spring replacement back in 2012 doesn't show on the service records???
