My 2011 ML350 Bluetec had 127,000 miles on it. It has been serviced regularly and checked before I hit the road for a family vacation. About 1.1/5 hours into the drive (70 MPH) the car slowed down to a halt. The dealership is telling me it is leakage in the oil cooler on top of the engine block, between two heads (internal failure). The main bearing has probably seized. The only way to be certain is the pull the motor and take apart. To examine it will cost approx. $7000.00. A new motor is $24,000. So, I paid $15,000, but to fix will take at least $30,000. I am so pissed, I can't begin to tell you. Getting no help from anybody. I love MB. Have had 4 in my life and really enjoyed them, but the quality has gotten so cheap. Will not recommend or buy another!!!! Any thoughts on what to do with my dead car?
