The contact owns a 2006 Mercedes Benz ml 500. The contact stated when whenever it would rain, water would enter the vehicle through the rear hatch and splashed onto the fuse box. The contact stated that the control module would become wet and cause the electrical components to malfunction. The exterior lighting failed as a result of the electrical malfunction. The contact stated that the failure could potentially result in a fire due the water getting on the electrical components. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer where the dealer was replacing the gasket for the rear lights. The failure mileage was 80,000.
