We own 6 of these vans at work. This vehicle jumped time throwing a check engine light in 2017 at 80,000 miles but still ran without an issue. Engine starts hard after this occurred. Last week 7/18/19 the vehicle jumped time again this time at 130,000 miles causing a misfire on 2 cylinders. Had to tow the vehicle to the dealer it was purchased from and was told it needed a new engine at a cost of over $12,000. Was told engine replacement was easier than the actual replacement of the timing chain. We have another 2016 Metris van that jumped time at 66,620miles 8/9/18. Not sure if anyone else is having this problem but we are not willing to replace engines every 60,000- 130,000 at that high of a cost and have to write it off everytime it happens.

This van jumped time at on 8/9/18. We have been without use of this vehicle since that time. We have taken it to multiple independent shops since that time trying to have it repaired. Fortunately we finally found a shop to work on it. The dealer told us to replace the engine ($12,000) due to being an easier job for them. We hope to have the van back on the road next week and should hopefully know a repair cost at that time.
