Yesterday, while parked, I noticed the car is leaning towards left side. Mechanic checked and found the air spring bag was leaking. Also, the strut on right got shot. Many owners have the same complaint. I'm scared to travel with my kids and grand kids in the car. These cars must be recalled for suspension problems.

The 2006 Mercedes Benz R350 with the airmatic suspension has multiple problems that seem to never end. My car has only 70K miles on it. The suspension has been fixed twice by an authorized Mercedes Benz shop. While looking up some information on various websites and forums I noticed I am not the only owner with this problem. While driving down the highway a light came on the dash screen stating vehicle too low to driveto shop. When the suspension goes out the vehicle frame is approximately 2 inches from the ground. The stiffened ride makes it difficult to maneuver the vehicle. Mercedes Benz stated you can't get a traditional coil spring conversion in the United States. The suspension problems with the R350 are also very costly ($3600) every time this has to be fixed. My car is currently in storage due to not being able to afford a third time to the shop. Please consider an investigation into the suspension of the Mercedes Benz R350 airmatic thank you for your time.

We have had a continuous problem regarding rear suspension, right side started first, the rear would drop down but yet the left side would be up. This created a horrific unsteady drive. We had a suspension air bag replaced. Now the left side is doing it. Car can not be driven. From all that I have read and from dealers, this is a ongoing problem with Mercedes. Why has Mercedes not issued a recall regarding this problem? this should not happen and definitely not at a vehicle that has low miles. Now this issue is also causing uneven wear on tires, 2years later we are still dealing with this issue.

The Mercedes Benz manufacturer is aware of these problems but have not taking responsibility to create a recall.

The car rises up on one side when put thrust he computer no error code comes up. After a day or so sitting in the garage gets back to normal. Got it checked by mechanic no leaks. Then happened again they reset the computer charged me. Happened once again this time they changed the computer and the car showed airbag leaking. Car is out of warranty. Looked up on line mostly everyone who owns this car has this problem. This car has lot of issues. It stopped in middle of road on high way I was luckily saved but they said a shaft ring broke in the engine I had to pay $2000 dollars. Mercedes should recall R 350 for suspension leaks.

I drove my 2006 Mercedes R350 to work and when I came out for lunch I noticed the car leaning severely to the right. I took the car to have it diagnosed and was told it was the rear air spring suspension. My warrant paid to have the vehicle repaired and the part was replaced. Two months later the vehicle was leaning again. I took the car back and was told it was a part defect and they replaced it at no charge to my warranty company. Just this Saturday, August 3, 2013 I came out from the movies to find my car leaning for the third time. I contacted the warranty company and was informed that it was a 1 year warranted since it was last fixed on September 25,2012 so I took the car back to the shop that fixed it and was told that now its the opposite side of which was fixed but the car is leaning the same position as the last 2 times and now I have to pay out of pocket to get it repaired because my warranty has ended. I have also had problems with the intake manifold something in the engine and the trunk/liftgate latch not closing and sensor not working where the trunk would slam on your head without stopping from the motion. The motion sensors have also been a problem where they would constantly sound off when nothing is in the way. The passenger seat assembly has also been repaired since I've had this vehicle. Something is also going on underneath the vehicle which has caused my front tires to suddenly bald severely without warning.

2006 Mercedes Benz R350-this vehicle keeps leaning on the right side. I took it to the dealership and have replaced several parts including sensors and valves but after a few weeks, it goes back to the same problem. I took it to a local shop that specializes only on Mercedes Benz and he's having a hard time figure out what's the problem. I can't tell how much money I spent so far in this vehicle and I can't believe that there's no recalls so far. No to mention the problems with the balance shaft and intake manifold issue as well as a air suspension problem. These problems are a manufacture defect especially on the R350 class vehicles. Mb is aware of these problems but they are not taking responsibility to create a recall. Believe me, I've seen so many R350 vehicles out there, and most of them seem to have the same problem. Do we have to wait for a recall in this vehicle until a fatality occurs?

About an hour into my trip the warning light came on for me to stop and let the car rise it were to low, something should be done about the rear suspension on the 2006 R- class there is a default with this vehicle there need to be a recall on and it is very hard for the mechanic to fine what's wrong.

I have a 2006 Mercedes Benz and while driving on the interstate the warning light would come on telling me to stop and let the vehicle rise I pulled over for a while to let it rise drive on for miles the light comes on again with the same thing stop and let it rise. Also while the R 350 is parked at home the rear end will lower itself there is some flaws with the rear end of the 2006 R 350.

I took car in because it had lowered down. I paid for it.I took it home wife said it is still driving wrong. She took it in and serviceadvisor drove around with her and said he feels it. We drove to dallas checked in hotel went out to car lowered again pressed button to raise it. Made it home to houston and lowered again. Took it in to service at Mercedes and now it needs front struts are leakingand some other things. The air bags in the back were replaced also when I took it in before. I have seen several cars like mine on the side of the road with the car leaning&lowered so something has to be wrong with this make model car. There are a lot of web sites with customer complaints about the suspension of this car. NHTSA its time to investigate. I see no investigation fromnhtsa websight. No one has investigated this car. Will you please investigate"this is just a couple of the problems I've had there are more with just 52000 miles Mercedes if I am having one problem after the other what is wrong with this car " the sticker price was $68,000 or $70,000 it will make you not want another one.

The rear end of my wife R 350 lower itself for some reason the rear end rise once cranked but over night the vehicle would deflate the rear suspension would just drop look like it is on the ground it started with one side than the whole back started dropping.
