2012 Mercedes S350 bluetec suddenly decelerates at about 65 MPH and hangs at about 50 mph. Stopping the car and restarting cures the problem for about 30 minutes during which time the car drives great and normal. Thoughts?
Update from Aug 23, 2017: I took my car to a local, seasoned nondealer Mercedes mechanic in Phoenix, Arizona, and they identified the problem as being a torn "hose" between the intercooler and the turbo. The fix cost me $1,200. I have had the vehicle back for a week and it drive like normal. My research indicated that such a torn hose could well be the cause of the problem. Hopefully, it was. If things change, I will update my comments accordingly. Glad I did not take it to the dealership, I am sure they would have rebuilt the entire motor.
