The button on the rear view mirror no longer activates the remote garage-door opener. I have a remote that came with the garage-door and I now use it. My service representative simply said to me, "Trust me, you don't even want to know how much a new rear view mirrow will cost you. I recommend you continue using the remote that came with your garage-door opener." What really gripes me, is that I've begun to experience a number or repair issues right after my new-car warranty expired. So much so, that I'm beginning to wonder if such repairs are engineered in, i.e., "designed obsolescence"!
