I bought this car because it was beautiful, with the top down , in the trunk or up. Then I took it for a test drive and heard that AMG tuned exhaust, that was it, I was hooked. There was three malfunctions listed on the cluster, but I knew I was going to put some money into it. One of the malfunctions noted was 'Electric Consumer battery', the secondary battery, so I swapped out batteries and no change, then I bought one from the dealership, and just like that, the malfunction list dropped to one from three. Great I thought. A couple of days later, the 'License Lamp' icon came on. So, I went out bought a pair of bulbs and changed them out (yes, I made sure I had on latex gloves), this was a waste of time and money, but at least I had an idea of where the malfunction lay. It was obviously a short, then I checked this site out and it appears I may have opened a can of worms and may have bit off more than I can chew. Up here in Canada winter is just sinking in, and I'm preparing to have some work done on my car in portions. I'll be addressing the License Lamp and the possibility of a short first, I can only hope. If there are further problems, I'll at least be aware of them before I give permission to proceed, but, I just don't anticipate any good news, damn, I could have used this site before I bought the car... I guess it's a matter of your dreams exceeding your resources.
