Here is a cost cutting Mercedes dealership sharing a spares department 100 yards down the road with Kia, Jeep, Smart etc.

I asked for hydraulic suspension fluid and they offered me something quite different and incompatible. Fortunately I had a half empty bottle in the car and was able to show them their error. The whole hydraulic system would need replacing had I not known what to look for. I then ordered parts for the pump and touch up paint saying I´d collect it in 2 weeks when I collected my wife from the airport. Guess what. They never ordered the parts because the assistant forgot to take down certain personal details.

Complained to Mercedes Care Assistant at Mercedes H.Q who were already supposedly following up a previous complaint and received no acknowledgement or reply. Mercedes is too big to care or to offer any truly high standard of service to its customers. It´s very sad if not disgraceful. I´m still waiting for a conclusion to a complaint they started following up 6 weeks earlier.
