It rattles more in the winter than in the summer. It also rattles more in low gear than high gear. I went to the dealer and they checked out everything that is holding the pipe to the chassis, but all bolts were tight. So the mechanic drove it, and noticed it too. Went back to the garage and he checked it out. Couldn't find a thing and guessed it was inside the muffler. His suggestion was that I completely replace the muffler system. Yeah right. It would cost more than what the car is worth. So I said, No thank you. He goes on to tell me that it could get worse and the muffler may breakdown, and could ruin the engine and so on.

Well I am now 27,000 miles further and the rattling is still there and that is all.
