Power window regulators in my 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis ls have continued to fail due to design faults. I have talked with several Ford technicians who have claimed that this is a major defect in the Grand Marquis series. The driver window, front passenger window, and driver side rear passenger window regulators have all failed. The wire that coils allowing the window to go up and down is almost destroyed. Window will not work with this defect and causes the window to slide down during operation.
