Grand Marquis

Hinges on both front doors will not stay in the first open position. If on a slight incline doors will automatically close on your legs as you try to exit. Dealer claims that Ford will not do anything about this.this does not sound reasonable to me. I am elderly and have to have the door hold open in the first position. My wife and I have both had the doors close on our legs.

Door hinges on both front doors do not hold open if car is parked on a slight incline.this is dangerous as I am elderly and have a tendency to lift my legs out first, and ahve had the door close on my legs. This is my third Grand Marquis and this have never happened before. I feel that Mercury has changed the hinges on the doors to a less expensive hinge.
