The wiper control module failed in a blizzard, an extremely dangerous situation. What bothers me the most is that this wiper control module was the subject of a recall. I complied with the recall and had the module replaced. But it's obvious to me that Ford either did not replace the part or just put another defective part into my car. What good is a recall if the replacement part is also defective? the specific recall was 00S09 May 2000 recall - wiper control module replacement my situation was exactly as described in the recall. The wipers failed without warning in heavy snow (thus heavy load on the wipers). Again, a very dangerous situation.
